About the event
Mighty Oaks is designed for explorers approximately 1.5-8 years old. This playgroup is intended to be a welcoming, minimally-structured space for kids to explore nature, connect with one another, and build skills through child-led play.
What to Expect: Playgroup is scheduled for 45 minutes per week, and families are welcome to stay and connect as long as they would like. Each week, children will be offered an engaging nature-based invitation to play. These invitations are open-ended, sensory-rich activities designed to encourage child-led exploration. Tools and materials will be provided, and children will be encouraged to explore and play in their own way and at their own pace.
This playgroup is not a teacher-led class. While we provided a prompt and materials each week, families should not expect a Tinkergarten or similar class. Occasionally, we may come together as a group for a story or song, but in general this is…
