About the event
Each season, we help children to develop one of our 8 core skills kids need to become curious, capable learners who can contribute to their world. This Spring, our classes will focus on empathy—the special human superpower that we use to understand our emotions and see the world through other people's eyes. Lessons are designed to help kids recognize their own emotions, understand how other people feel, and take action to care for themselves and others. Read more about how kids develop empathy here.
Classes are for children ages 1-8 with a caring adult and meet once a week for 4 weeks beginning April 17th and ending May 8th. Classes meet Thursdays 4:30-5:30 at Big Cottonwood Regional Park - Holladay Lions Area near the trailhead.
Every class, you can expect the following:
An opening circle featuring song, movement, and community-building
An exciting invitation for child-led, nature-inspired play
